BPEND_TIMEOUT option for NetBackup servers

The BPEND_TIMEOUT option specifies the number of seconds to wait for the bpend_notify script on a client to complete.

On NetBackup master servers.

How to use

Use the nbgetconfig and the nbsetconfig commands to view, add, or change the option.

For information about these commands, see the NetBackup Commands Reference Guide.

Use the following format:

BPEND_TIMEOUT = seconds

The default timeout is 300 seconds (five minutes).

Note:

If this option is changed, verify that the CLIENT_READ_TIMEOUT option is set to the same value or higher.

This entry should appear only once in the configuration file.

Equivalent Administration Console property

NetBackup Management > Host Properties > Master Servers > Double-click on server > Timeouts > Backup end notify timeout.
