Veritas NetBackup™ for Lotus Notes Administrator's Guide

About restoring a Domino partitioned server environment

The user who owns the partition's Domino data directory must restore the partitioned server. For Domino server, the notes.ini file determines how a database to be restored is accessed and which Lotus transaction log extents to use for recovery. Because each partition in a partitioned server environment has its own notes.ini, restore databases from different partitions in separate restore operations.
