Veritas NetBackup™ Commands Reference Guide

Name

nbcredkeyutil — refreshes the encryption key that NetBackup's credential management system uses.

SYNOPSIS

nbcredkeyutil -add | -list

nbcredkeyutil -help

 

On UNIX systems, the directory path to this command is /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/

On Windows systems, the directory path to this command is install_path\NetBackup\bin\admincmd

DESCRIPTION

The nbcredkeyutil command is used to add new encryption keys and list the existing keys that NetBackup's credential management system uses.

OPTIONS

-add

Adds a new encryption key to NetBackup's credential management system, the new key will be used for future encryption work. The existing keys are maintained for decryption.

-help

Displays the nbcredkeyutil command syntax.

-list

Lists the encryption keys' tags that are found in NetBackup's credential management keystore.
