VIRTUALIZATION_HOSTS_SECURE_CONNECT_ENABLED for servers and clients

The VIRTUALIZATION_HOSTS_SECURE_CONNECT_ENABLED option enables the validation of virtualization server certificates using its root or intermediate certificate authority (CA) certificates.

Description

Where to use

On NetBackup master server or all access hosts.

How to use

Use the nbgetconfig and the nbsetconfig commands to view, add, or change the option.

By default, the VIRTUALIZATION_HOSTS_SECURE_CONNECT_ENABLED is set to UNDEFINED, but the security certificate validation is enabled for RHV and Nutanix AHV servers and disabled for VMware servers.

Use the following format to enable certificate validation for the RHV, VMware, or Nutanix AHV servers:

VIRTUALIZATION_HOSTS_SECURE_CONNECT_ENABLED = YES

Equivalent Administration Console property

No equivalent exists in the NetBackup Administration Console host properties.
