Configuring NetBackup policies for Hadoop plug-in

Backup policies provide the instructions that NetBackup follows to back up clients. For configuring backup policies for Hadoop plug-in for NetBackup, use the BigData policy as the Policy Type.

You can create BigData policy using either the NetBackup Administration Console or the Command Line Interface.

Note:

Hostname and port of the NameNode must be same as you have specified with the http address parameter in the core-site.xml of the Hadoop cluster.

For more information on how to create a BigData policy, See Creating a BigData backup policy.
