ENABLE_DIRECT_CONNECTION for servers
With NAT clients in place, NetBackup master servers and media servers are configured only to accept communication requests from clients. Servers cannot communicate directly with clients. However, servers need to communicate directly with clients in the following scenarios:
When the NetBackup domain consists of clients that are not behind any firewall or are not using any gateway
When the NetBackup domain consists of clients with earlier versions
The ENABLE_DIRECT_CONNECTION option lets you establish a direct connection between servers and such clients.
By default the direct connection between servers and clients is disabled.
