Configuring a CloudCatalyst storage server for deduplication to the cloud
The configuration of deduplication to the cloud differs, depending on the type of host that is used for the CloudCatalyst storage server.
See the following procedure if you use a NetBackup CloudCatalyst Appliance:
See the following procedure if you use a Linux media server (non-appliance):
See How to configure a Linux media server as a CloudCatalyst storage server.
Note:
CloudCatalyst uses cloud connectors during initial configuration. Certificate validation against Certificate Revocation List (CRL) secures the calls that the cloud connectors initiate. After configuration, nbrmms periodically polls CloudCatalyst storage server and makes a call to the cloud connector to check its state using the cloud connector's CRL.
For more information on Certificate Revocation List (CRL), Review the section Certificate validation against Certificate Revocation List (CRL) in NetBackup Cloud Administrator's Guide.
