About auditing events for alerts and email notifications in the NetBackup web UI
NetBackup audits an event if changes are made to the settings in the web GUI or when it cannot generate an alert or send an email notification.

Use the nbauditreport command to review the audit report for these kinds of failures.

NetBackup audits the following events with the ALERT audit category:
When an alert cannot be generated
When an email notification cannot be sent
NetBackup audits the following with the CONFIG audit category:
Changes made to the NetBackup configuration settings (for example, SMTP server configuration)
Changes made to the list of excluded status codes for alerts
