Media type when not using barcode rules
Choose one of the following if the barcode rules in NetBackup are not used:
DEFAULT | NetBackup uses the media type that is configured for the drives if:
If the drives are not the same type, NetBackup uses the default media type for the robot. |
A specific media type | If the robot supports multiple media types and you do not want to use the default media type, select a specific type. Select a specific media type if: the drives are not configured on the robot control host and the drives are not the default media type for the robot. |
The following table shows the default media types for robots when drives are not configured on the robot control host:
