IGNORE_XATTR option for NetBackup clients

By default, extended attribute files (Solaris 9 or later) and named data streams are backed up. Use IGNORE_XATTR to exclude extended attributes and named data streams from backups. (IGNORE_XATTR was formerly IGNORE_XATTR_SOLARIS.)

How to use

Use the nbgetconfig and the nbsetconfig commands to view, add, or change the option.

For information about these commands, see the NetBackup Commands Reference Guide.

Use the following format:

IGNORE_XATTR

NetBackup does not check for extended attributes or named data streams if the IGNORE_XATTR entry is present in the bp.conf file.

This option should appear only once in the configuration file.

Equivalent Administration Console property

No equivalent exists in the NetBackup Administration Console host properties.
