Add Network dialog box

The Add Network dialog box contains the following properties.

Property

Description

Host/Domain

Indicates whether the network to be added is a Host name or a Domain name.

Host Details

Specifies that if the network is a host, one of the following items must be entered:

  • The host name of the remote system. (host.domain.com)

  • The IP address of the remote system. (10.0.0.29)

Domain Details

  • Domain Name/IP

    Enter a dot that is followed by the Internet domain name of the remote systems. (.domain) or the network of the remote system, followed by a dot. (10.0.0.)

  • If the domain is specified by IP, select one of the following items:

    • Bit count

      Indicates that the mask is based on bit count. Select from between 1 and 32.

      For example: Mask 192.168.10.10/16 has the same meaning as subnet mask 192.168.20.20:255:255:0.0

    • Subnet mask

      Select to enter a subnet mask in the same format as the IP address.
