NetBackup™ Web UI Administrator's Guide

Network properties

To access this setting, in the web UI select Hosts > Host properties. Select the client. If necessary click Connect, then click Edit client. Click Windows client > Network.

Use the Network properties to configure the communications requirements between clients and the primary server. These properties apply to the currently selected Windows client .

The Network host properties contain the following settings.

Property

Description

NetBackup client service port (BPCD)

This property specifies the port that the NetBackup client uses to communicate with the NetBackup server. The default is 13782.

Note:

If you change this port number, remember that it must be the same for all NetBackup servers and clients that communicate with one another.

NetBackup request service port (BPRD)

This property specifies the port for the client to use when it sends requests to the NetBackup request service (bprd process) on the NetBackup server. The default is 13720.

Announce DHCP interval

This property specifies how many minutes the client waits before it announces that a different IP address is to be used. The announcement occurs only if the specified time period has elapsed and the address has changed since the last time the client announced it.
