NetBackup™ Web UI Administrator's Guide

Configure external KMS

Use this procedure to configure external KMS server in NetBackup using web UI.

To configure external KMS server

  1. On the left, click Security > KMS.
  2. Click Configure.
  3. On the Configure key management server dialog box, click the NetBackup KMS option.
  4. Specify the following KMS server attributes:
    • Enable for backup - Enable the option to use the keys from this KMS configuration for backup.

    • Name - Enter name of the KMS configuration.

    • Server name - Enter the primary server name.

    • Credentials - Select the credentials for the external KMS server.

      See Add a credential for an external KMS.

    • Port - Specify the port number of the external KMS server for communication.

    • Description - Specify the details of the external KMS configuration.

    • Priority - Defines the priority given to this server during encryption or decryption.

  5. Click Configure.
