NetBackup™ Web UI Administrator's Guide

View status codes and troubleshooter insights

You can view the NetBackup status code (or error code) details and troubleshooting steps using the Activity monitor in the web UI.

To view status code details

  1. On the left, select Activity monitor.
  2. On the Jobs tab, select the job ID of a failed job to see the details of the failure that are recorded against a status code.

    Job details are shown in a new dialog box in the Overview tab.

  3. In the Status and Troubleshooter insights pane at the bottom, you can see the status code details as follows:
    • Status code number

    • Explanation or problem details

    • Recommended actions that you can take to resolve the error

    • A link to the online documentation that is available with respect to the status code

    You can expand the Status and Troubleshooter insights pane to see the troubleshooter insights in a detailed manner.

You can also search for the details of a specific status code.

To search for a specific status code

  1. On the left, select Activity monitor.
  2. On the Jobs tab, select status code link. The Troubleshooter pane is displayed at the right.

    You can see the following details of the selected status code.

    • Status code number

    • Explanation or problem details

    • Recommended actions that you can take to resolve the error

    • A link to the online documentation that is available with respect to the status code

  3. You can use the search box in the Troubleshooter pane to search for a specific status code and see the status code details or insights.
