Policy creation issues

Issue with dynamic multi‑streaming and snapshot backups

Policy creation fails when the you select the Perform snapshot backups option in a policy along with dynamic multi‑streaming. NetBackup returns the following error:

  • Error Code: 20 Error

  • Message: Invalid command parameter.

  • Error Details: The Perform Snapshot backups option cannot be used for the Standard policy type when dynamic multi‑streaming is enabled.

Workaround:

This issue has no workaround. The Perform snapshot backups option is not supported with dynamic multi‑streaming in a Standard policy. Disable either snapshot backups or dynamic multi‑streaming to proceed.

Issue with the Multiple copies option

Policy creation fails when you enable the schedule attribute Multiple copies in a policy with dynamic multi‑streaming.

NetBackup returns the following error:

  • Error Code: 144

  • Error Message: Invalid command usage.

  • Error Details: Multiple copies cannot be added to a schedule in the Standard policy type when dynamic multi‑streaming is enabled.

Workaround:

This issue has no workaround. The Multiple copies option is not supported with dynamic multi‑streaming in a Standard policy.

Issue with the ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES directive

Policy creation fails when you use the ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES directive in backup selection in a policy with dynamic multi‑streaming.

NetBackup returns the following error:

  • Error Code: 69

  • Error Message: Invalid file list specification.

  • Error Details: Invalid value(s) in the include list.

Workaround:

This issue has no workaround. The ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES directive in backup selection is not supported with dynamic multi‑streaming in a Standard policy.
