NetBackup™ Web UI Administrator's Guide

Assets by workload type for YARA scanning

This section describes the procedure for scanning Kubernetes assets for YARA.

To scan Kubernetes assets for YARA

  1. On the left, select the supported workload under Workloads.
  2. Select the resource for which backups are completed.
  3. Select Actions > Scan for malware.
  4. On the Malware scan page, perform the following:
    • Select the date range for the scan by selecting Start date/time and End date/time.

    • Select scan type as YARA scan, and then select Required threat feeds.

    • From the Current infection status list select one of the following:

      • Not scanned

      • Not infected

      • Infection detected by malware scan

      • Infection detected by file hash search

      • All

  5. Click Scan for malware.
  6. After the scan starts, you can see the Scan status on Malware detection. The following fields are visible:
    • Not scanned

    • Not infected

    • Infected

    • Failed

      Note:

      Any backup images that fail the validation are ignored.

    • In progress

    • Pending
