Role permissions

Role permissions define the operations that roles users have permission to perform.

Category	Description
Global	Global permissions apply to all assets or objects. BMR - Configuration and management of BMR. NetBackup Web Management Console Administration - With guidance from Cohesity Support, create diagnostic files to troubleshoot NetBackup and perform JVM garbage collection. These operations are only available from the NetBackup APIs. Refer to the following guides for information on JVM tuning options: NetBackup Installation Guide, NetBackup Upgrade Guide. NetBackup management - Configuration and management of NetBackup. Storage lifecycle policies - Manage storage lifecycle policies (SLPs). Security - NetBackup security settings. Storage - Manage backup storage settings.
Assets	Manage one or more types of assets. For example, VMware assets.
Protection	Manage how backups are performed with policies or protection plans.
Credentials	Manage credentials for assets and for other features of NetBackup.
