Troubleshoot resource group permissions

If appropriate permissions are not assigned to the resource group, the snapshot creation fails for Azure resources that are associated with resource groups.

Workaround:

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to https://portal.azure.com/#blade/HubsExtension/BrowseResourceGroups.

  2. Click on the resource group, that is to be used in the snapshot.

  3. Click on Access control (IAM).

  4. Click on Add Role Assignment.

  5. Select Role as Owner, Assign Access to as User, and select the Application (created for Snapshot Manager, to make API calls).

  6. Save and try to back up again.
