NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 9270

Message: Failed to retrieve credentials for SpanFS server.

Explanation: NetBackup encountered a failure when it attempted to retrieve an authorization token or a CA bundle for SpanFS server. This failure can occur while NetBackup retrieves a new or a renewed authorization token.

Among the reasons for failure are:

  • The job that requires an authorization token is no longer in an active state.

  • The peer that requested the authorization token is not associated with the given job.

  • NetBackup encountered a failure when it tried to fetch the SpanFS authorization token or the CA bundle from nbemm.

Recommended Action: Review the nbemm logs from the primary server and the bptm logs from the media server for errors. Search the Cohesity Technical Support website to determine the source of those errors. For additional assistance, collect the nbemm and bptm logs and contact Cohesity Technical Support.
