NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 5990

Message: The specified host ID-to-host name mapping is shared by multiple hosts and the auto reissue certificate parameter is set for two or more hosts.

Explanation: The auto reissue certificate parameter is set for multiple hosts that share the same host ID-to-host name mapping. In this case, NetBackup cannot determine the host where the certificate needs to be reissued. Therefore, the certificate cannot be deployed.

Recommended Action: In the case of shared mapping, ensure that the auto reissue certificate parameter is set only for the required host. You can reset the parameter for other hosts by running the following command:

nbhostmgmt -allowautoReissueCert -autoReissue 0

Alternatively, you can use the NetBackup Administration Console.
