About recovering the MSDP catalog
The following are the recovery options for the NetBackup MSDP catalog:
Table: MSDP catalog backup recovery options
Recovery option | Description |
|---|---|
|
Restore from a shadow copy |
If NetBackup detects corruption in the MSDP catalog, the Deduplication Manager restores the catalog automatically from the most recent shadow copy. The automatic restore process also plays a transaction log so that the recovered MSDP catalog is current. Although the shadow copy restore process is automatic, a restore procedure is available if you need to recover from a shadow copy manually. |
