Managing credentials for MSDP-C
You can use the Credential management feature to add and edit credentials for MSDP-C that NetBackup uses to connect to a system or workload.
To add credentials to MSDP-C:
- On the left, click Credential management.
- On the Named credentials tab, click Add. In the Add credentials dialog, under Credential store, select NetBackup, and then click Start.
- Under Basic properties, provide a Credential name. Optionally, provide a Tag and Description. Click Next.
- Select MSDP-C from the Category drop-down.
For AWS do the following:
Select AWS S3 compatible.
If you select Access key as the authentication type, specify the Access key ID and Secret access key. These two parameters authorize NetBackup to access the AWS APIs.
If you select IAM Role Anywhere, do the following:
Specify the Trust Anchor ARN in the format:
arn:aws:rolesanywhere:region:account:trust-anchor/TA_ID.Specify the Profile ARN in the format: arn:aws:rolesanywhere:region:account:profile/PROFILE_ID.
Specify the Role ARN in the format: arn:aws::account:role/role-name-with-path.
Enter the CA Certificate. The certificate should start with -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- and end with -----END CERTIFICATE-----
Enter the Private Key. The private key should start with BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY----- and end with -----END RSA PRIVATE KEY----- or, it can start with -----BEGIN EC PARAMETERS----- and end with -----END EC PRIVATE KEY-----.
For Azure do the following:
If you select Access key as the authentication type, specify the Storage account, and Access key.
If you select Service principal as the authentication type, specify the Storage account, Client ID, Tenant ID, and Secret key.
- Click Next.
- Add a role that you want to have access to the credential.
Click Add.
Select the role.
Select the credential permissions that you want the role to have.
- Click Next, and follow the prompts to create the credential.
