Viewing the current audit settings

To view the current audit configuration, use the nbseccmd command on the NetBackup primary server.

Alternatively, sign-in to the NetBackup web UI, go to Global Security settings > Security Controls > Configure audit retention period, and view the audit retention period.

To view the current audit settings

  1. Log on to the primary server.
  2. Open the following directory:

    Windows: install_path\NetBackup\bin\admincmd\nbauditreport

    Linux: /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd

  3. Run the following command:

    nbseccmd -getsecurityconfig -auditretentionperiod

  4. The following configuration setting is listed:

    Audit Retention Period: 90
