NetBackup™ Security and Encryption Guide

CLIENT_KEEP_LOG_DAYS

The CLIENT_KEEP_LOG_DAYS parameter defines the duration for which NetBackup retains data from VxUL and Legacy logs. The logs can take up a significant amount of disk space (the log volume size is 25GB), therefore, it is recommended not to retain the logs for longer time than required. By default logs older than 7 days are deleted.

To modify the default settings, it is necessary to log in to the NetBackup malware scanner container via SSH and adjust the value of CLIENT_KEEP_LOG_DAYS in the bp.conf file located at /usr/openv/netbackup/ folder.
