Rescanning and updating barcodes

Use the following procedure to rescan the media in a robot and to update NetBackup with the barcodes.

Note:

Rescan and update barcodes does not apply to volumes in API robot types.

To rescan barcodes and update the NetBackup database

In the NetBackup Administration Console, in the left pane, expand Media and Device Management > Media > Robots.
Select the robotic library that contains the volumes that you want to scan and update.
In the right pane, in the Volumes list, select the volumes.
On the Actions menu, select Rescan/Update Barcodes.
Click Start.
The results of the update appear in the output section of the dialog box.
