Copying a policy to create a new policy
Use the option to save time creating policies. This option is especially useful for the policies that contain many of the same policy attributes, schedules, clients, or backup selections.
To copy a policy to create a new one
- In the NetBackup Administration Console, in the left pane, expand NetBackup Management > Policies.
- In the middle pane, select the policy to copy.
- On the Edit menu, click Copy to New
- In the Copy a Policy dialog box, enter the name of the policy that you want to copy. You can indicate a policy other than the one that is selected
- Enter the name for the new policy.
- Click OK. The only difference between the new policy and the copied policy is the name.
