Add availability databases to a policy
This topic describes how to add availability databases to a policy when you choose the option. You can also add availability groups to the same policy. If you want to back up databases outside the availability group, you must create a different policy for those databases.
To add availability databases to a policy
- On the Instances and databases tab, select Protect availability groups.
- Select Add.
All availability groups that you registered are displayed.
- In the left pane, expand the node for the availability group that contains the databases that you want to protect.
- In the left pane, select a replica.
- In the right pane, select the check box next to each database that you want to add to the list.
When you select individual databases, you must manually add any new databases in your environment to a policy. In this case, NetBackup does not dynamically create a list of databases at run-time.
- Select the Select button.
The objects you select in the backup selections list apply only to the availability groups or availability databases that you add to the list on the Instances and databases tab.
