Configuring clients
The tab contains a list of clients to be backed up (or acted upon) by the selected policy. A client must be included in the list of at least one backup policy to be backed up.
Placing a client in more than one backup policy can be useful. For example, place the client name in two policies to back up different sets of files on the client according to different policy rules.
A client must be included in the list of at least one active backup policy to be backed up.
Adding clients in a policy:
- On the left, click Policies, under Protection. Click the Schedules tab. Under Backup schedules, click Add. Click the Clients tab.
- To change an existing client, select a NAS supported vendor from the list. Click Add.
- In the NAS array and array head selection dialog, click the array on the left to see the list of array heads on the right. select one or more required array heads from the list. Click Save.
- In the Clients tab, select a client from the list, and click Save.
To delete a client, select a client in the tab, and click . Hold down Shift to select multiple clients.
