Edit or delete a named credential
You can edit the properties for a named credential or delete a named credential NetBackup from the .
Edit a named credential
You can edit a named credential to change the following: credential tag, description, category, authentication details, or permissions. You cannot change the credential name.
To edit a named credential
- On the left, select Credential management.
- On the Named credentials tab, locate and select the check box for the credential that you want to edit.
- Select Edit and update the credential as needed.
- Review the changes and select Finish.
- (Conditional) For any cloud workloads that use an agentless connection for instances, after you edit the credentials select the Connect button to reconnect the instances.
Delete a named credential
You can delete a named credential that you no longer need to use with NetBackup. Be sure to apply another credential to any assets that use the credential you want to delete. Otherwise, backups and restores may fail for those assets.
To delete a named credential
- On the left, select Credential management.
- On the Named credentials tab, locate and select the check box for the credential that you want to delete.
- Select Delete > Delete.
- (Conditional) If the credential deleted was a proxy credential, you must remove the CALLHOME_PROXY_NAME entity. From the primary server, use the following command to remove the CALLHOME_PROXY_NAME entity.
