NetBackup status code: 8642

Message: Encryption error working with keystore.

Explanation: An encryption error with the keystore occurred.

Recommended Action: Verify the ownership and the permissions of the files .credential_keystore and credjkskey. If necessary, allow read permission for the user account nbwebsvc. Then, retry the action.

The path to .credential_keystore is:

  • UNIX: /usr/openv/var/global/wsl/credentials/.credential_keystore

  • Windows: install_path\NetBackup\var\global\wsl\credentials\.credential_keystore

The path to credjskey (the file that holds the password to the credential keystore) is:

  • UNIX: /usr/openv/var/global/credjkskey

  • Windows: install_path\NetBackup\var\global\credjkskey
