NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 8732

Message: An entry for the specified subject name that is associated with a host ID already exists in the NetBackup database.

Explanation: The specified subject name and host ID association already exists in the NetBackup database.

Recommended Action: Do one of the following:

  • Update the existing subject name to host ID association using the netbackup/security/external-certificates API.

  • Delete the existing subject name to host ID entry from the database using the nbcertcmd -deleteECACertEntry command (or through the API). Then create a new entry using the createECACertEntry command.

  • Use a new subject name.
