NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 8631

Message: The current host ID-to-host name mapping conflicts with the NetBackup deduplication web server's host name in the NetBackup configuration database. Please update the NetBackup deduplication web server's SSL certificate record.

Explanation: The current host ID-to-host name mapping conflicts with the NetBackup deduplication web server's host name in the NetBackup configuration database.

Recommended Action: Do the following, as appropriate:

  • The current NetBackup host ID-to-hostname mapping is returning a different host name from the host name that is stored in the NetBackup database record for the MSDP SSL certificates. Update the NetBackup deduplication web server's SSL certificate record.

  • Follow the troubleshooting steps to install the SSL certificates on the NetBackup master server for the NetBackup appliances.
