NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 8621

Message: The connection is dropped because the host appears to be NetBackup 8.0 or earlier.

Explanation: The earlier communication status shows that the peer host could communicate securely, but it seems to have been downgraded to NetBackup 8.0 or earlier, and, therefore, the connection is not established.

Recommended Action: Verify that the peer host was upgraded and then downgraded to a back-level release. If this is the case, then the NetBackup administrator can mark the given host as insecure.

If this is not the case, then another host is trying to spoof the peer host. You can use the network tools to find out which host it is and take corrective action.
