Create a query to back up VMs in a localized SCVMM environment

This topic describes how to create a query in a Hyper-V Intelligent Policy to back up VMs in a localized (non-English) SCVMM environment.

To create a query to back up VMs in a localized SCVMM environment

  1. Open the policy and select the Clients tab. Then select Select automatically through Hyper-V Intelligent Policy query.
  2. For the Server type, select System Center Virtual Machine Manager.
  3. In the Query builder, select Basic mode.
  4. Select from the Join, Field, and Operator fields to begin building the query.
  5. Enter the Value to use in the query.
  6. Select Save to save the query.
