NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 9382

Message: The operation has failed because it is configured for multiperson authorization.

Explanation: If the multiperson authorization is enabled for the operation on the primary server, then that operation is allowed only using the web UI, APIs, or the nbcmdrun command. If a user tries to perform the operation using the NetBackup Administration Console or a command other than the nbcmdrun command, then the user sees this error.

Recommended Action: Perform the following as appropriate:

  • Perform the operation using NetBackup web UI.

  • Use the nbcmdrun command. See the NetBackup Commands Reference Guide for more information about the nbcmdrun command.

  • Contact the NetBackup Security Administrator to exempt from multiperson authorization.
