NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 9250

Message: Host IDs of the target and the source hosts do not match.

Explanation: The host ID of the received certinfo does not match with the existing Host ID entry present in certmapinfo.json file.

Recommended Action: Perform the following as appropriate:

For NBCA:

  • Make sure the reissue token that is generated for the same host is used for the fetching certificate.

  • If the reissue token is correct, then delete the particular entry that caused the issue and fetch the certificates from that primary server again.

  • Refer to the section About reissuing host ID-based certificates in the NetBackup Security and Encryption Guide for more details.

For ECA:

  • This problem may be reported if the certificate used for enrollment is already enrolled with some other host. Verify that the certificate that is used for enrollment is associated with the current host. Find and delete the particular entry that caused the issue and enroll the certificate again.

  • Refer to the section About external CA support in NetBackup in the NetBackup Security and Encryption Guide for more details.

Retry the operation and if the issue persists, visit support.veritas.com. The Veritas Technical Support website site offers additional information to help you troubleshoot this issue.
