NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 9128

Message: Failed to obtain the backup ID from the track log file.

Explanation: The track journal has the backup ID in the header section. A corrupt track journals or a missing backup ID in the header can cause this issue.

Recommended Action:

To address the issue, perform the following:

  1. Rename the appropriate track journal folder on client:

    install_path\Veritas\NetBackup
    \track\<media_server>\<storage_server>\<client>\<policy>
  2. Perform a new full backup.
