Configure a new disk pool using AWS IAM Anywhere

Follow these steps to create a new disk pool using AWS IAM Anywhere.

Step 2	Add a disk pool.	In the NetBackup web UI, create a disk pool. Follow the procedure in Create a disk pool in the NetBackup Web UI Administrator's Guide. In the Volumes step: Select the option of Amazon or Amazon Government from the Cloud storage provider drop-down. Select the appropriate region. In the Access details for Amazon account section, for Authentication type, select IAM Role Anywhere, and then select Add a New Credential. See Managing credentials for MSDP-C. You can also use Select existing credentials if credentials exist for Amazon. Enter the cloud bucket name for which you have provided the credentials.
Step 3	Add a storage unit.	In the NetBackup web UI, create a storage unit. Follow the procedure in Create a storage unit in the NetBackup Web UI Administrator's Guide. When you create the storage unit, select the Media Server Deduplication Pool (MSDP) option. In the Disk pool step, select the disk pool that was created in Step 3.

In the NetBackup web UI, create a disk pool. Follow the procedure in Create a disk pool in the NetBackup Web UI Administrator's Guide.

In the Volumes step:
- Select the option of Amazon or Amazon Government from the Cloud storage provider drop-down.
- Select the appropriate region.
- In the Access details for Amazon account section, for Authentication type, select IAM Role Anywhere, and then select Add a New Credential. See Managing credentials for MSDP-C. You can also use Select existing credentials if credentials exist for Amazon.
- Enter the cloud bucket name for which you have provided the credentials.

Step 3

Add a storage unit.

In the NetBackup web UI, create a storage unit. Follow the procedure in Create a storage unit in the NetBackup Web UI Administrator's Guide.

When you create the storage unit, select the Media Server Deduplication Pool (MSDP) option. In the Disk pool step, select the disk pool that was created in Step 3.
