Who can run NetBackup commands
Users with the following roles can run the NetBackup commands:
OS Administrator (root in Linux and Administrator Group members in Windows)
RBAC Administrator
RBAC CLI-Administrators
For example, OS Administrator, RBAC Administrator, and RBAC CLI-Administrator can run the following commands:
nbcmdrun bppllist [arguments]
nbcmdrun bpstuadd [arguments]
nbcmdrun nbdb_move [arguments]
nbcmdrun mklogdir [arguments]
nbcmdrun tpconfig [arguments]
Users with specific RBAC permissions can run NetBackup policy-specific commands (such as bppolicynew, bpplsched).
See the following examples:
User with the 'Policy > Delete' permission can run the nbcmdrun bppldelete command.
User with the 'Policy > Update' permission can run the nbcmdrun bpplinfo -set | -modify command.
