Moving volumes by using the Actions menu

If you move a volume to a robotic library that has a barcode reader, NetBackup updates the NetBackup database with the correct barcode.

To move volumes by using the Actions menu

Physically move the volumes to their new location.
In the NetBackup Administration Console, in the left pane, expand Media and Device Management > Media.
In the right pane, in the Volumes list, select the volumes that you want to move.
On the Actions menu, select Move.
In the Move Volumes dialog box, specify the properties for the move.
If you move a single volume, the dialog box entries show the current location of the volume.
