Adding a script to the backup selections list
The following procedure describes how to add a script to the backup selections list.
Note:
Be sure to specify the correct script name in the backup selections list to prevent an error or a wrong operation.
To add a script to the backup selections list
- Open the policy.
- Select the Backup selections tab.
- Select Add.
- In the Script box, type the full path name of a script on the client.
For example:
/backup_scripts/db/cold_backup.sh C:\backup_scripts\db\cold_backup.cmd
- Select Add to add the script to the list.
- Select Save.
Note:
Be aware of what may happen if an automatic schedule invokes a script that a user authored. NetBackup does not provide safeguards to prevent an automatic backup schedule from running a restore or a recovery script.
