Verifying the RMAN script on UNIX
The following procedure describes how to verify that the RMAN script works correctly.
To verify the RMAN script
- Use RMAN to make a backup directly to disk. Do not use NetBackup.
- Use RMAN with NetBackup to create a backup.
- Look for log files under the
/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/dbclientdirectory structure.On UNIX all Oracle users are non-root so the logs files are in the
/usr/openv/netbackup/logs//dbclient/<users_dir>directory.If no log file exists, libobk is not linked into Oracle properly.
