About Snapshot Manager
NetBackup interacts with the snapshot management servers to discover devices to protect and manage the snapshot lifecycle using arrays. Snapshot management severs are installed separately from NetBackup and they contain plug-ins for various storage arrays. Veritas Snapshot Manager is an example of a snapshot management server for NetBackup. Using the NetBackup snapshot management framework, you can use Snapshot Manager for taking snapshots of your images. You can protect all the on-premise storage arrays that are supported by Snapshot Manager.
