About Snapshot Manager and NDMP

Using the NDMP protocol version V4 snapshot extension, NetBackup Snapshot Manager can make policy-based snapshots of data on a Network Attached Storage (NAS) host. The snapshot is stored on the same NAS device that contains the primary client data. From the snapshot, you can restore individual files or roll back an entire volume or file system, by means of Instant Recovery.
