NetBackup™ Installation Guide

Manual install or uninstall of the NetBackup IT Analytics Data Collector

The NetBackup IT Analytics Data Collector reports NetBackup information to Veritas. Use the information that is shown to manually install or uninstall the data collector.

To install the NetBackup IT Analytics Data Collector manually:

  • For Linux primary servers:

    • Extract /usr/openv/ita_dc.tar.gz to a temporary location.

    • Run temporary_location/dc_installer -i /usr/openv -n

  • For Windows primary servers:

    • Locate the installation media kit and navigate to the x64/ITA_DC folder.

    • Run silentinstall.cmd /INSTALL_PATH:NetBackup_install_path /INSTALL_TYPE:INSTALL /REMOVE_NON_OEM_DIR:Y

    Note:

    Do not include quotation marks in the install path.

To uninstall the NetBackup IT Analytics Data Collector:

  • Use the command that is shown for Linux primary servers:

    /usr/openv/analyticscollector/UninstallerData/uninstall_dc.sh -r

  • For Windows primary servers:

    In Windows Programs and Features, locate NetBackup IT Analytics Data Collector. Right-click this item and select Uninstall.

    An uninstall script is also available. The script is located in:

    install_path\Veritas\NetBackup IT Analytics\DC\silentuninstall.cmd
