NetBackup™ Security and Encryption Guide

Disabling auditing

NetBackup auditing is enabled by default. To disable Enhanced Auditing, see the following:

To disable auditing

  1. Log on to the primary server.
  2. Open the following directory:

    Windows: install_path\NetBackup\bin\admincmd

    UNIX: /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd

  3. Enter the following command:
    nbemmcmd -changesetting -AUDIT DISABLED -machinename primaryserver

    In the following example, auditing has been turned off for server1.

    nbemmcmd -changesetting -AUDIT DISABLED -machinename server1
