Pre-requisite for scan host
Scan host is a host machine which has the required malware tool configured. Once it is integrated with NetBackup, NetBackup initiates scanning on the scan host.
Pre-requisites:
Malware tool must be installed and configured.
Scan host must have a share type configured that is either NFS or SMB client.
Scan host must be reachable from MSDP storage server over SSH.
Note:
SSH connection to scan host from the storage server must be successful.
OpenSSH must be configured on windows scan host.
Note:
For Windows 2016: Enable OpenSSH and for Windows 2019: Update latest patches.
The minimum required configuration for the scan host is 8 CPU and 32-GB RAM.
The following operating system's are supported for the scan host:
Windows - Windows server 2016 and later.
Linux RHEL - Version 8.x and later.
SUSE - SLES 15 and later.
