Entering passwords in the Flex Appliance Console
You can paste passwords into the password fields in the Flex Appliance Console. Rather than typing a password by hand, you can generate a complex password, store it in a password manager or a secure vault, and paste it into the console.
You can paste a password for the following operations:
Adding a local user.
Changing a local user password.
See Changing a local user password in the Flex Appliance Console.
Creating an application instance, including a Flex Appliance WORM storage server instance.
A password that you paste is validated in the same way as a password that you type. It must adhere to the current password policy.
See Changing the password policy.
Note:
You cannot paste a password in every field. You must type the password for the following operations - configuring multifactor authentication, deleting an application instance, changing the BIOS password, and changing a self-encrypting drive (SED) key from an external key management service (KMS) to a local key.
