Using instance volume I/O with an external dashboard

As instance volume I/O metrics are exposed through the same metrics API as other Flex Appliance performance metrics, you can query them directly and feed them into an external monitoring tool. Metric names beginning with flex_volume_ identify the instance volume I/O counters described above. API access uses the same authentication and role-based permissions as other performance metrics on the appliance.
