About Call Home
Your appliance can connect with a Cohesity AutoSupport server and upload hardware and software information. Cohesity Technical Support uses this information to resolve any issues that you might report. The appliance uses the HTTPS protocol and uses port 443 to connect to the Cohesity AutoSupport server. This feature of the appliance is referred to as Call Home. It is enabled by default.
It is also recommended that you enable the feature to provide automatic updates for the Appliance Upgrade Readiness Analyzer tool (analyzer tool) on the appliance. Enabling this feature lets you keep pre-upgrade checks up to date and receive accurate upgrade readiness status recommendations through System Health Insights on the NetInsights Console.
